We need your help! Our group needs funds for things like business cards and new carriers for the lending library so we have decided to start fundraising. Our first fundraiser will be a Babywearing Calendar for the New Year! We need a variety of Babywearing images of group members. If you would like to be in the calendar please pick three of your favorite Babywearing images and send them to Alexis at nnjbabywearer@gmail.com. We need a variety of images including different seasons, carrier styles, ages (including children and grandparents), and activities. Be creative! We are also hoping Maegan Dougherty will be taking some pictures at the meeting on January 3rd, pending availability since a mom she is photographing is due the next day. All those interested can simply stay after the meeting!
The calendar will be put together and a spreadsheet will be created for people to order a copy and pay through paypal. Completed calendars should cost approximately $22 plus nominal shipping should you chose not to pick it up in person (pickup locations will be in Hillsdale or Belleville/Newark areas).

As simple as it sounds, babywearing is a skill that, for years, was passed down from parent to child. However, over the years, many of these skills have been forgotten or lost. This is where babywearers of Norther NJ comes in! We can help! We are not experts or professionals; just a group of very passionate babywearing moms who love to spread the word (and the skill) of babywearing. Here are just some of the ways we can help:
-Pregnant and new moms (and dads!) can come see our carrier library to find one that might work for them.
-Have a carrier? We can help you learn to use it with hands on help!
-Overwhelmed with the different options? Come try on a carrier before you buy so you know what will work for you.
-Already a skilled babywearer? Come help others, learn new skills, or simply meet like minded moms!
